چکیده
The application of polyetheretherketone (PEEK) in additive manufacturing (AM) can effectively reduce material and energy waste the process help achieve lightweight parts. As a result, AM PEEK is considered an emerging technology line with green concepts. However, 3D-printed parts often suffer from low mechanical strength poor surface quality due to immaturity process. Therefore, this research investigates feasibility improving by dry milling post-processing. Meanwhile, improved optimizing printing parameters, effects on are investigated. novelty design experiments based anisotropy For first time, delamination post-processing results show that milled surfaces prone problems. direction has significant effect post-processing, whereas directions have little quality. problem be significantly side where specimen printed at 90° then milled. Deformation Post-processing of Additive Manufacturing Components
Parts produced by additive manufacturing (AM) often require post processing to improve surface finish and mechanical properties. However, little attention has been given to including deformation in the post processing. Deformation post-processing can address some part size, manufacturing cost, and geometry limitations of 3D printing. Additionally, it could be used to create 3D surfaces using pl...

This paper presents a Laser Additive Manufacturing Process Planning (LAMPP) being developed at the University of Missouri-Rolla. The off-line planning recognizes difficult-to-build features from an STL file, selects optimal part orientation and building directions based on the skeleton information of the object geometry, and optimizes the sub-process sequences for deposition and machining. Duri...

متن کاملProcess planning for additive and subtractive manufacturing technologies
In recent years, techniques that combine different manufacturing processes such as additive and subtractive technologies are gaining significant attention. This is due to their ability to capitalise on consolidated advantages of combining these processes. However, there are limited process planning methods available to effectively synthesise additive and subtractive manufacturing technologies. ...
متن کاملLiving Additive Manufacturing
Living organisms such as bacteria are able to grow, respond to stimuli, and divide as part of their life cycle. Designing smart three-dimensional (3D) materials that are able to perform such feats, i.e., continue on-demand growth and respond to external stimuli, is always a challenge for polymer and material scientists. At present, Johnson and co-workers have made a significant step forward in ...
